J. Wesley Fox, Ph.D. is the President and CEO of NephroGenex. Dr. Fox has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry and has led the organization, funding and management of several biotechnology companies. He is a co-founder of
NephroGenex, BioStratum, EnzyMed (acquired by Albany Molecular Research), and
RiboGene, Inc. (merged to form Questcor Pharmaceuticals). Dr. Fox is also a member of the board of directors of BioLamina. Prior to co-founding NephroGenex,
Dr. Fox was co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of BioStratum, Inc., where he established
and directed the company's research and development operations that identified the company's
lead product candidate for diabetic kidney disease (Pyridorin™), a drug candidate for cancer, and recombinant laminins for stem cell technology. Dr. Fox has also held research and development positions with Idexx Laboratories and Abbott Laboratories. |

Dr. Klausner has over 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining
NephroGenex, he spent 17 years at Johnson & Johnson where he was a Vice President in
several functional areas including Clinical R&D, Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance.
Dr. Klausner's accomplishments at J&J include being lead company presenter at 2 public FDA
Advisory Committee meetings, the company's primary medical officer for several drug-safety
related crises, leader of clinical development activities across a variety of therapeutic areas, and
most recently the leader of the global Procrit/Eprex medical group. Board certified in
Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. Klausner received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School,
did his internship at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York City and then completed his
Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. |

Bob has over 24 years of product development experience in the pharmaceutical and cardiovascular implant industry. Prior to joining
NephroGenex, Bob spent 8 years as Director of Product Development for BioStratum Inc. where he led the development of biopharmaceutical candidates from concept to early clinical trials. In the field of cardiovascular implants, Bob worked for CardioPolymers Inc. overseeing development of novel biopolymer therapy for the treatment of chronic heart failure. He also worked at Baxter International where he led the development from concept to market release of a complete line of ePTFE vascular grafts for peripheral use, and a complete line of endovascular prosthetic grafts for treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms. Prior to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, Bob served as an officer in the United States Army. Bob graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point and received his Master of Engineering Degree at the University of California, Berkeley. |

Linda has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, having served as Vice President of Global Business Development for Aventis in addition to various roles in medical affairs, strategic planning and finance, new business market intelligence, and licensing for its predecessor companies of Marion Laboratories, Marion Merrell Dow, and Hoechst Marion Roussel. Ms Hogan continues to serve as an Executive in Residence at Care Capital, LLC where she assists with the sourcing and evaluation of potential investment opportunities as well as providing business development support. Prior to joining the pharmaceutical industry, Linda was Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Director of Drug Information Services for the University of Kansas (KU) School of Pharmacy and Kansas University Medical Center. She received an MS in Hospital Pharmacy from KU and holds an MBA from Rockhurst College and a CLP from the Licensing Executive Society. |
